Exercising Through a Healthy Pregnancy & Postpartum is a fun and lively workout especially targeted for pregnant and postpartum women. Based on guidelines set by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as fitness expert Pat Kutcher's extensive experience in conducting exercising programs for pregnant and postpartum women, Exercising Through a healthy Pregnancy & Postpartum features such activities as: * warm up and cool down * low impact aerobics * upper body exercises * strength / conditioning exercises for abdominal, back and pelvic floor muscles Women who have exercised through one pregnancy and have not exercised through another report the benefits of exercise as * reducing the severity and frequency of back pain * controlling weight gain * improving digestion * reducing constipation * relieving stress * coping with a changing body. Postpartum exercise helps: * regain body weight and cardiovascular fitness * increase vitality * decrease stress. A perfect companion for the pregnant or postpartum woman. "Exercising Through a Healthy Pregnancy & Postpartum" is produced by the award-winning University of Iowa Video Center. Pat Kutcher is Coordinator of Wellness Programs for the University of Iowa's Recreational Services Department and a faculty instructor for applied fitness programs. She is a member of the International Dance Exercise Association and a former instructor and counselor for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Pat's professional experience as a leader in the fitness industry as well as her own personal experience as a mother inspired her to develop this special exercise video.
